Educational Representative

Antonio Strad Violin is hiring an Educational Representative to join our team.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Our Educational Representative are tasked with providing a superior customer service experience to all our educators, and overall promote the joy of music! Making weekly service calls to local schools, pick up repair and take them to our state-of-the-art repair facility, offering weekly lessons, and provide other support when need be. Serving the Bexar County and surrounding areas.

    Intermediate to high level instrument sales (often including follow-up work)
    Inbound/Outbound phone sales
    Renting student instruments
    Orchestra school drives
    School Bids
    Invoicing all sales and repairs
    Assist with show floor merchandising including some light lifting
    Other duties as the need assigned.

Required qualifications:

    Preferred school orchestra experience.
    Outgoing, friendly person with exceptional communication skills.
    Must be a highly organized, detail oriented and goal driven individual.
    High School education required.
    Sales/customer service experience required
    Microsoft Windows navigation and Microsoft Office experience required.
    Willing to work non-traditional hours which may include early evenings and weekends.
    Must have dependable transportation to and from work.

Preferred (but not required):

    Violinists, Violaists, Cellist, or Bassist a big plus
    Bi-Lingual
    High Level Sales experience
    Post High School education/degree appreciated.

Compensation:

    Hourly Wage plus Commission

Front Staff Associate

Antonio Strad Violin is hiring violinists, violaists, cellists, and double bassists to join our storefront team of customer service representatives.

Front Staff Associates are tasked with providing a superior customer service experience to all who visit the store, and overall promote the joy of music! Our store front is a vibrant place where we assist string players of all levels.

Primary duties include: processing POS transactions using a cash register and software especially developed for Antonio Stad Violin, completing rental instrument contracts, assisting in the selection of rental string instruments for customers, learning about the company's wide range of products and services in order to answer customer inquiries, pulling merchandise for shipping orders, and assisting in the maintenance of the storefront accessible to customers.

In addition to being a string player, applicants need to be personable, have a professional demeanor, customer service/retail experience, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Applicants should enjoy working as part of a team and be self-motivated. This is an active role, and applicants must be comfortable standing for up to 4 hours at a time.

Full-time: 40hrs/wk, with required Saturday hours. Applicants should be prepared to have availability for all business hours, which includes Wednesday evenings.

Starting salary: Base plus commission. This position offers a benefits package, which includes health and dental insurance plans, retirement savings with company match, paid time off, and vacation accruals.


Private Lesson Instructors: (Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass)

Our growing studio is always looking for qualified people to give music lessons. Right now there is an immediate opening for violin, viola, and cellos instructors at our studio!
Instructors must have a degree in Music or music Education with a focus on at least one of the violin family stringed instruments. Instructors are required to maintain a regular weekly lesson schedule with their students. Benefits of teaching in a studio environment include:
